We stayed here two different nights as the midpoint in an out-and-back road trip. It’s clean and comfortable. The first room was nicer and more modern than the second room but both were clean and comfortable. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was good. Parking can be limited if they are busy so be aware that some of the neighboring lots may not let you park there.
Stayed for 3 nights in May for ISU graduation weekend. Room was well equipped (microwave/mini fridge), beds were comfortable and room was clean. Great price compared to many others in the area. Breakfast was above average. Theresa had a great attitude and kept the food prepped and stocked and tables cleaned during a busy weekend. Housekeeping realized right after we checked out of our room that we had left a personal pillow in the room and quickly ran it down to the lobby to catch us loading our car. All and all very pleased with our stay!
This hotel is clean, modern, and quiet. It's close enough to I-30 for easy access but not close enough for traffic noise to be an issue. The bed was quite firm which my spouse loved. The pillows provided ranged from firm to soft and weren't lumpy.
Chose the location so we could be close to our Cyclone and the ice rink to see the ISU hockey game. Comfortable, clean, and good location.
Very easy to find and even though it was very busy due to an ISU game, it was very quiet. Everything was clean and the accessible room would fit a wheelchair. The only con was it was a standard tub instead of a walk in shower, although there were plenty of sturdy grab bars. The continental breakfast was plentiful, and there was someone monitoring and constantly restocking. Staff was very friendly and helpful too! We will be back.
Better than expected ( even with boys soccer teams staying). Pleasant helpful staff, hot breakfast that was well serviced. Large room that was turned while we were out for second night. Easy location, booked on points, but very fair price. We did have a bit of mustiness noticeable when we entered room, but not going to hold it against them, it was minor. Other couple had a minor tv issue that was resolved immediately when desk notified.
I had a very comfortable stay at Sleep Inn & Suites Ames near ISU Campus. The hotel was very clean and well maintained. My room was quiet, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom was modern with a nice walk-in shower. The breakfast area was organized and the morning breakfast was simple but good. The staff was friendly and check-in was fast. Overall a very pleasant stay and I would definitely stay here again when visiting Ames.
We had a wonderful experience in this hotel. Nancy, the front desk lady, was exceptionally courteous and attentive throughout our entire week-long stay. Similarly, Bridget at the breakfast area and all the staff, including the custodians, were very helpful and friendly. The hotel offers a comprehensive range of amenities, including a pool, laundry facilities, breakfast, clean rooms, and a clean environment. Given the exceptional service and amenities, we highly recommend this hotel. If we were to visit Boone or Ames again, we would definitely choose to stay at this hotel.
